That looks good mate, did all the pipe work come with the filter?

I put a ram air filter in mine.

Thanks, I actual sourced all the part of eBay and built it up from scratch.
The pipecross look the best for me.
Cost about £60 all in for clips and joiners.

i put mine straight onto the throttle body with a cold feed to it.

But would prefer the way yours sits as I looks like it has more cold air feeds.

I got this for the cold air. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=WATCHING&itemId=190732346857
and Auto Silicone Hose's from AP Moter sport on eBay.

Ah right slightly different, do you have any photos of your one so I can compare? Cheers.

Will get some pics up tomorrow mate, mine doesn't look as professional as yours tho lol.

Do you find you got a power boost from the intake?

Whats the noise like from where yours sits?

That sounds really good, like you say not too loud.

Mine seems to growl a bit as its straight onto the throttle body.
I find mine can be a bit sluggish don't know whether that's down to the blown flexi pipe
how old is you car? Mine is an 05 plate.

Yeah I like it, only makse a growl over 3k rpm so can still drive appropriately.
possibly I had the same problem but recently but the bullet and got a new one, also if Iv been driving the car hard for a long period it's not as responsive due to sucking in hot air aswell as cold.
mine is a 57 plate with 62k on it.

I think that's why mine is a bit sluggish from the hot air it's sucking in.

Mine is an 05 on 62k miles, need to see about the silicone hoses and get it moved closer to the bumper out of the road lol

Why are people bothering with an air intake on a 1.6? The gains will be laughable.

IMG 0030 that's mine here mate, was looking at my car, couldn't take a cold feed from the fog light area without cutting it out.

Ah right I see. I think u would benifits from some pipe work.
As the setup you have will be sucking in majority hot air.
What do u mean by cutting out the fog light part?

Yea must be sucking in a whole load of hot air, a bonnet scoop would work well but not for an audi lol,

At my fog lights there is no space as it looks blocked off

that why I want to go for the same kind of set up as you have

Haha that wouldn't go down well on here.
Behind the fog light is where the horn sit so I just moved that and also put the mesh where the original plate was.

just put you hand in the space and have a feel about .

Once I get all the parts ill have a feel about and see where I can run the feed from.

I think I would get slated a lot if I put a scoop on the car haha.

Ah so the plate is detachable then?

Aw that good then because I didn't fancy cutting things out lol,

im struggling to find the hoses you used on eBay tho.

Is it recomended do have this air holes open? Would it be better if it is closed?

the front one shouldn't matter as for the back one, the hose has came off as you can see to the right of the picture need to reattach it.

thanks mate for the listings, what sizes did you go for?
arnt the sizes on the link?
If not I got a 76-63 90degree reducer and a 76mm 45degree angle the reason for 76mm is ~3" so what ever size you filter is go for that size, as long as you have 63 for the throttle body your good.

when I went to the link it gave me a few different options for hose sizes.

Thanks mate, that could be next weekends job to get it all sourced and fitted,

not sure what colour of hoses to go for, either black or blue.

So many mods to do hehe, not enough time lol
