    Engine Management Light

Drove my car earlier today was fine nothing different, got home and had to pop back out turned car on an noticed the engine management light stayed on as i was driving off, i can see no difference in the car nothing has changed and still drives fine.

Should i be worried about this, i can still drive the car right?

Also are the next steps i should take, could it be expensive?

    Thanks

Next step is to get it scanned for the fault code.

As above, use the VCDS map and look for somebody close to you to scan it

Seconded, get it scanned. My engine light came on and the code was a faulty sensor. Took it off and cleaned some dust out, sorted.

i'm hoping it's something like that and nothing major, i'm going round my friends house tomorrow to get the code read. Will report back with my findings, wish me luck!

Well guys here's the update i have the code P2279 and it says Intake air system leak, for some reason i don't think it's the air but a petrol leak as i can still smell petrol even though the garage said they had fixed it!

The code i have can that mean anything else?

Tps are trade part supplies if you go to audi they will show you a exploded diagram of your engine and hoses the part number is probably on the pipe

Try them, some things aren't as expensive as you'd think. The PN should be on that hose somewhere mate

Well the pipe has snapped at both ends top and half way down the inlet (not sure how) i'm assuming the part number will be on the top?
