Pointers & advice with buying a3?

The mrs is looking to join me in the audi club! Now ive seen a Audi 1.9 2009 with 39000 miles for £10,000.

Now obvious questions and to ask about the vehicle are does it have full audi service history etc?

What specific things should I ask on a motor that is approaching 40k miles?

Manual or auto?

If its not audi service history then check the garage used to see if they're a specialist in vag.

Manuel. It is from Audi Sheffield so I was wondering what mechanical issues arise at this stage or issues that should of been sorted before I enquire.

Cambelt is one I will need to know about.
