Yes as you have a 170 double din then you can fit an auxin to the rear of unit & trail the lead, we install auxins aswell, location dependent.
I have connects2 on my single din concert, the one with AUX, SD card and USB slot

I have the single din concert but I have Bluetooth in mine too so not sure about it.
Will I have to knock off the Bluetooth as I don't see anywhere it can plug into the back.
I have the new 7th Gen iPod and want to use the headphone jack to connect it and not the charger port if possible.
go on google or ebay and just search for CTAADUSB003, many of the adverts say it only fits the audi a3 8L stereo up to 2003 BUT this is DEFINITELY the one I have in my car (2004 8p, obviously)
they're on ebay for £60 which I think is actually a few quid cheaper than what I paid, I got mine in October last year
