A3 TDI 2.0 S-Tronic (2009) - S-tronic gearbox oil change

Hi,

During my 2nd service @ 36k miles I was informed that the S-tronic gearbox oil would need changing when the car hit 40k.

Over the weekend the car rolled over to 40k miles, but the DIS hasn't alerted me to anything, I assume this is the truth and 40k is when the oil should be changed.... can anyone confirm?

Secondly, I was quoted over £225 this morning for the gearbox oil to be changed at Southampton Audi.... almost as much as my 36k service cost me!!! Is this a normal price quote for a S-tronic gearbox oil change? (I haven't rung any other dealers yet, am still in shock).

The oil and filter must be changed at ~40k miles. You don't get any warning on DIS, like for the engine.

That stealer price is correct I would find a good independant to do it for around £160
