Help what is the rear carrier bolt size????

Evening all,

I wonder if you can help i am looking for the size of the allen key required to remove the allen bolts which hold the carriers on an A3 TDI Quattro.

According to ETKA they are M12 which require 10mm allen keys but having tried this they are too small could someone give a definite size as im gunna go and buy a 12mm in the morning to give that a go.

A3 TDI Quattro 170 with 286mm rear discs brake code 1kj

It's not an Allen key it's spline bits not sure exactly of size.
