Hi,

Noticed very recently that when getting up to 70ish there is a loud scraping noise coming from the front passenger side of the car. Seems to happen more on bumpy roads (a50 in stoke on trent is part concrete). As the suspension takes the bump it makes a loud scraping noise. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

wheel arch linings maybe out and rubbing? or got spacers or lowerd suspension anything like that?

could be a bearing needs replaced? do u notice any rumble or that?

HI,

Sorry been away for a few days. No it does not seem to make any noise when turning, only ever seems to be around 70mph mark, its more noticeable when the road is bumpy. Almost sounds like its bottoming out but its all running standard suspension. I'm going to jack it up tomorrow and get the wheel off and see if any of the arch lining is loose as advised above.

Big thanks to everyone, all sorted now. In the end it was a cover underneath the passenger side of the car, just behind the front passengers wheel arch. Think the plastic clip had broke and needed re-attaching / screwing back in.
