Hi everyone, i think i've got the popular sooty turbo problem as many 2.0TDIs get?
I had it plugged in and got the "Boost pressure regulation exceeded, over boost po234"
The guy sold me a £20 bottle of something and for 2 days... the car drove much nicer and i didn't get any limp mode in 5th gear under pull.
Now it seems to slug and stick on boost, in 2nd gear if go flat to the floor the boost will suddenly go much faster after 3500rpm, and in 5th gear on a hill it will go into limp mode
From the above symptoms do you guys think its definitely the turbo that needs replacing, there dont seem to be any air leaks?
I really want to get a remap but im sure they will turn me away with this problem so, I'm wondering if i should just get a reconditioned unit from essex turbo for around £360?
Any advice?
