A3 TDI Quattro DPF Removal

Hi has anyone physically removed the DPF from a A3 170 Quattro. It looks a right mare. Any info would be good as i've had it mapped and deleted. Just got to gut it now , but i looks like transfer box off and subframe just to get at it.
