2004 2.0 FSI 8P Condenser fan won't switch off

As per title really. Past couple of days the condenser fan will not turn itself off. At present stopping the battery running flat by disconnecting the battery leaving the car unlocked!
Wondered if anybody had some ideas as to what is causing this? Any help or tips appreciated
 
If you are near ish Aberdeen I could scan it to see if its the fan it's self or sensors etc
 
This is usually a fan unit faulty, but ideally sensors need checking as per above before swapping the fan unit out, common issues are fuses, fans or a sensor.
