ive just bought an ambient lighting roof light with map lights off the

As my car has just the std on/off roof lights, will it just plug and play or need extra wires or coding.

Plug and play, I've been meaning to get one myself but don't know what
colour the one in my car is and don't want to order the wrong thing.
