Looking to get our first S3 but puzzled by spec.

First of all I will say hello, I am new to Audi sport , but not that new to the Audi brand.

We have been looking round for a 2007 on S3 , we have just seen one come up for sale in a local dealer.

Its a 2007 spec car and it has recaro seats and is a metallic purple colour. Not seen many purple ones before.

The thing that is puzzling us is that it has purple wing mirrors and black front grill.


i thought an S3 comes with silver mirrors and a silver grill ?

car has apparently come from the Isle of Wight

any pointer appreciated.

Black grille was an option. So was the purple but i'm not sure on the mirrors.

Previous owner may have just had them colour coded.
Im sure the VIN will tell you if its a true S3 if you run it throug Audi

Or had them stolen or damaged is another possibility.

Coming from the isle of Wight I can safely say it hasn't been driven hard.... We have a total of 500 yards stretch of dual carriageway... The rest is 30 limit villages and roads that would kill you above 60mph!

Also unlikely the wing mirrors were nicked round here

Is that a pale Green M3? Or green tinted glass and a white M3 lol.

That purple is also different. Bet it looks good I'm real life.

What service stuff do I need to look for ? Car has done 60 k

should it have had a timing belt by now ?

Car is over 5 years anyway so should have had the timing belt done regardless.
Also should have had a Haldex oil and filter change at 40k.
Then the other regular scheduled services.

just to add to Coreythorny make sure you check the HFPP cam follower on the car.
