I have today fitted a copy RS3 Roof Spoiler. Looks really good in my opinion and at less than half the price of an OEM one. Fitment is good. Only bad thing is the original 3rd brake light does not fit. So I have had to buy one from Ebay. I went for the F1 style brake lights which flash....

Anyway no errors but after 10 mins of driving the warning light comes up on the dash. If I restart the car its gone again. So I am guessing its the way the electronics work on the lights so they flash.

Does anyone know if I can permanently turn off the warning light using VCDS?

Or I have read that you can wire in resistors to fool the car???

I wired a resistor into mine matey, in line and heat shrink the little ****** be the easiest way

What type of resistors did you use? As they are so many different ones on eBay. And what problem did you have exactly?

Flashing brake light. Be sure it's legal, otherwise the police will stop and ticket you.
