2.0tdi fuel pump not making sucking noise

As the title says my car useto make a sucking noise when i turned the ignotion on and now it makes no noise?? Is that normal or is my pump playing up?

Is the engine starting ok? Does it drive ok? Do you get any error messages related to fuel pump on VCDS scan?

It missfires abit and smokes a puff of smoke when left stood for 10 hours +! I havent got any error messages and havent yet scanned it.

Sucking noise? Do you mean the noise of the lift pump priming when you flick the igintion on?

Yes its like a squelch it useto make! But it dont do it anymore!
