Car made 353 bhp and 289lbft, tuner said there was alot more torque to be made but didnt want to take any chances with the clutch. Feels rapid now!!

RS3-KEL why do you have that power dip between 4500 and 5000 rpm's? is it clutch slip?
i don't know what figures mine has but it feels quick :D

Needed a new o ring on the fuel pump as the original one couldn't handle the increase in fuel pressure. Was a bit worried when fuel was leaking into the engine bay.

Hi S, its could have been as there was aways a dip , but tbh i should have stuck the sachs clutch in as i do miss that raw power ,from the s3 ,the rs3 is more calm through the dsg box ,no doubt a map will sort it out..

    that seems reasonable :D
mine wasn't on rollers since stage2 since the stock clutch was giving up, but few days ago had a play with r8 v8 and i was surprised (not as much as the guy in r8) :D

I've just gone for the Loba/Sachs SMF set up, but noticed it comes with no release bearing, where can i get one?

Will i need my map tweaked to run more torque or will the car automatically run more torque with the new clutch set up?

    Thanks again.

release bearing from audi. or maybe garage can source it for you.
ideally, map would need tweaking. as it won't produce more torque without that.

    hey there,
each car has different settings, for example my settings may not be good for your car, but it's an good starting point if you have nervs and time to do logging and tweaking.
i have tried two: one set by revo which is b9t4f9, and another one b8t5f7.

Thanks for that, I'm on B7,T4 & F9. What setting would need changing to make better torque figures when the new clutch goes in?

don't really know mate. i've had map update after new clutch so all has been done at the garage.
you can play with the boost and fueling but with timming you need to be careful and log everything to check if it in the safe limits,
i think it's best to ask garage.

Chaps, is there a difference between the Revo Stage 2 & 2+ software or is it dependant on boost, timing and fueling settings?

Stg2+ software is fuel pump specific,i.e. it requires an uprated HPFP,and that, plus the software, fills out a lot of the dip in midrange torque that you otherwise get at Stg2.

As I said, you need the uprated HPFP for Stg2+,and it does make a difference, although it's the beginning of the slippery slope to really expensive mods.

The car will take a few days worth of driving to adapt fully, but the increase in midrange torque is noticeable right away.

Yeah i've already got the HPFP fitted but i was told that they only put the stage 2 software on last time it was in for a map (when i also had ITG, Milltek and HPFP fitted at the same time)

When fitting the new Rev D Diverter Valve, is it a case of just bolting in the new DV, do you have to worry about tweeking the map? will any fault codes be picked up after changing?

apparentley not if you choose road use version, track only version would have made all bit noiser as they are really harsh.

So i've just managed to change my rev g diverter valve for the rev d. Easy job even for a complete novice!

The rev g looks in surprisingly good condition. I'm still getting a flutter sound when accelerating hard in 3rd and 4th. Is this something to worry about or is it what's called compressor surge?

Here's a few photos of the condition of the rev g:

I have compressor stall or fluttering but only between 3 & 4000 rpm. Also had it on my previous 8L S3 once I added an aftermarket intake. Compressor stall isn't a great thing for a turbo at all.

kW v3 and either DaveB brakes,or AP/Brembo/RS brakes would fit the bill nicely.
