Anybody help me? Bkd starting problem.

I have a audi a3 2.0tdi bkd engine. Had a new turbo, cambelt kit and waterpump. Used diesel purge to clean injectors. When leaving the car over night or for a long period of time when i start it sometimes it misses a couple of times and a puff or white/blue smoke comes out the exhaust that stinks of diesel! Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks

Yeah, who did the cambelt, did they look of the cams, could be of by a tooth etc, mine was of by a fair bit on both & caused me no end of issues.

Well me and my mate whos a mechanic and me a training mechanic did it! We used the lolypop tools and i ajusted the cams on vcds. I noticed from cold the consumption shoots up to 2.0 l/h then after a couple of seconds goes back to 0.6-0.4 l/h!

Thats the ones we used! Should the consumption go upto 2.0 l/h on a cold start?
