Map light units - B7 A4 and 8P2 the same?

Thank you. As long as the faceplate is the same I should be able to make a hybrid with my existing unit to get map lights + ambient.

The backs are different but the covers are almost/if not identical.
I have replaced my cover and all internals (map and ambient lights) from an original A4 B7 light set. The colour is a tiny bit off but not that noticeable
There isn't any holes for the interior ultrasonic sensor that faces towards the gearstick though, so I just drilled a hole for it...
And I also had to enlarge the holes for the map light switches in a few places - literally half a millimetre or so as the switches where just catching and not turning off properly.
All in all cost about £17
You'll need to dissemble both the A4 and A3 versions to swop the components over, but is simply plug and play - there is a thread on here somewhere...
