Hi Peeps,

The A3 failed its MOT on Friday due to fried rear shocks which will now need replacing fast!!

I've seen these and wanted to know if anyone's heard of or had any experience with them?

Also, i see it states 'for standard chassis', mine is a 2.0l tdi 'sport' so would the shocks be different to 'standard' (or is it just spring rates that make the sport lower?)

Would I be better off getting bilstein replacements?

Can anyone tell me the part number for the rear shocks on 2004 2.0 tdi sport or if they are the same as those with the standard se setup?

id stick to bilstien mate... better.. however the ride is stiffer if you do go for them i have B14's at the moment and love em to bits...

as for the part number im sure some one ill aid you i cant run ETKA

Monroe shocks......they must be doing something right as they are 110 years old
