A3 radio switching on and off

Has anyone had this issue...
Car is a 2008 A3 S-line tdi
The radio will go off and on and this coincides with the central locking system engaging and disengaging, sometimes it doesn't happen other times its quite often, would I be right in thinking ignition switch?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

my mate had a similar problem to this though his would sometimes turn itself off for a good 30mins, as you have correctly diagnosed it turned out to be the ignition switch but lucky for him he got his done under warranty
