    Cam follower wear on BWA?

    Hi guys,

Just reading about preventitive maintenance for the 2.0TFSI and the cam follower seems to be an issue with people changing it every 10k miles, but many say it is only on some engine codes like BPY.

Is BWA affected? Other engine codes?

    Cheers!

It may just be paranoia but I have mine looked at every 10 000 miles or less, and if its at all worn it gets changed.

I think that with an uprated HPFP it's good practice and prevents costly problems.

With ads like that on VAG sites, I think I will check myself before I wreck myself.

Just done mine today. Very easy job and had started showing signs of wear at 33k but I expected worse.

For the sake of 25 quid and an hours work at most I'd do it every 5k
