Finally got a call back from the Sales Manager regarding the Cambelt situation. Took 4 phone calls and no calls back.
A quick chat, he went to his Servicing Manager and they have the invoice for all the Cambelt work that was done and he was posting out. Very apologetic also.

Also; just changed my cam follower on my 57 plate S3. I had a small blip at idle and oil smelt of petrol a bit.
All went swimmingly apart from the petrol spraying in my eye on the barrel but! Don't ask :(

heres the wear at 33,000 miles.

Not very much wear at all. Which makes me think the petrol smell in the oil is what is deemed acceptable for these engines.
The camshaft lobe was spotless also.

Time to go for a drive now 8)

I'd imagine it was normal blow by gas oil contamination, you'll always get some petrol smell. There certainly isn't anything wrong with that follower, bit more wear on the sides than you'd expect but nothing to worry about.

Still, nice to change for the peace of mind it gives. Good result on the belt too.

Cheers mate.
Best thing is, more money for mods now :D
