HELP - Audi A3 8P1 1.6FSI GEARBOX

Hello!

Looking for some help if possible as i'm finding very hard to pin down a replacement gearbox.
As above its a 2004 A3 1.6 FSI (6Speed Manual)

I have trolled breakers, gumtree, ebay and as a last resort - Euro car parts who quoted me around £1600.

Is anyone aware of a readily available reconditioned /new unit. Not so fussed about the cost but considering the car has done 125K I don't know if its really viable to spend over the mark.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.

Maybe post a 'wanted' add as well in the classifieds section.
