I didn't go for the ambient lighting pack when ordering my car, and have bog-standard WWII-spec overhead lighting inside my car-no seperate "map" lights like on my missus' A3 SE (8L). i got to wondering whether i could simply change the overhead light panel to one spec'd for ambient lighting (of course i'd need to install the relevant led's or bulbs or whatever...
