    De locking on a sportback,

I wanna de-lock the drivers side door on my sportback, is it a case of fitting a rear door handle? Or is it more complicated?

Don't think you will get an answer because I doubt very much if anyone has done it.

    Why would they ?

You could just take the handle off, fill and then smooth it if a rear one is different.

Fitting a rear door handle should be fine if indeed they are the same size.

My mk4 golf was delocked and I was still able to open the doors when I had a flat battery. There should be enough juice in it to operate the central locking if it happens.

If you want to de-lock the drivers door (God know why though, if you shut the keys in your screwed) order a passenger side door handle assembly for a left hand drive car, the lock is only even on the drivers side so it will be 'de-locked'.
