Coding For A3 Sportback Led Rear Lights Retrofit

hello there got a genuine rear led lights 2009 to fit my audi a3 sportback 2005 and adapters just not sure about how lights coding works any help will be appreciate cheers

You'll need to use vcds to code the lights in, there's a guide in the thread here...

You need a VCDS cable. The coding is this:

central electronics

coding

help with long coding

Btye 9 to Dec = 0 - as the final brake light
Byte 10 to Dec = 0 - Fog lamps as a taillight
Byte 12 to Dec = 36 - dimming rear standlight
Byte 19 Bit 2 Cold Diagnosis rear active - this must be activated

Thread revival. I did this and yes my LEDs are working fine, and the fogs are working. But reverse lights are not working. Any reason why this would happen? Cheers

Hmmm... they should work if they are properly coded. and the ones on the boot lid do not require adapters.
Have you connected the extra wire on the boot lid lights?

Hi, I have installed these recently in my 8p.

I don't have auto lights.

The tail lights are fully working but only my right rear reverse/fogs work.

I have the warning light constantly lot saying rear left fog/reverse not working.

If I activate the fogs the rear left boot lid tail light goes out.

Any ideas?
