Road Tax Query

I'm looking into the Road Tax costs for an A3 3.2.

Am I right in assuming that vehicles registered 19/12/03 - 23/03/06 and 1/01/08 - 26/05/08 incur a £280 p.a charge, and vehicles registered in between this period (24/03/06 - 12/12/07) incur a £475 p.a. charge?

I'm confused!
