I'm just wondering can 5w40pd oil be used in my 2007 s3? The guys at TPS told me it could be but I'm not 100% with this, they've made mistakes in the past.

Can anybody help me with this, I've got 10litres of it in the shed and don't want to put it in of its not right.

Thanks in advance!

Think you need to have 504/507 tbh

Keep to 5w/30 - the S3 engine will have been validated on 504/507 oil therefore it's best to use this oil.

Wouldn't risk a S3 engine to save £40 in oil!!

Ok mate, well I'm glad I checked before I changed it! TPS giving wrong advice. Would anybody know if the 200bhp engine from a seat leon FR takes the same oil as a s3?

yes.

You can use any brand of oil as long as it conforms to 504/507 but usually Mobil one is most suitable or castrol.

As above always use Castrol Edge. Often find deals at Asda or Fleebay
