    Intercooler S3 vs 2.0tfsi difference?

    Hi.
    Is the S3 IC bigger than the one used in 2.0tfsi?

    If so. Is it a strait swap in to my car?
    Waht is needed for the conversion and dose any one have one for sale?

    I am planing a K04 turbo upgrad and APR is recomending an IC upgrade.
    Should I buy there products or save some money and sorce a stock S3 IC?
    The kit produces aprox 360bhp.

    if your not planning going BT then i would just save the money and buy it the Std. OEM S3 FMIC mate... also i wouldnt go to APR to buy the kit as its a bit of a rip off you can source the parts separately from Audi.. also i would check:

    So the OEM S3 IC will do the job right?

    Anyone know the different to my and what is needed for the job?
    Is there a free space on my car where the new IC is going?

    Sorry for dumb questions. Haven't really watched for this. Just came on the idea of maby using the S3 IC

    What about maps from APR when using other HW setup?

    A lot of Cupra owners and Golf GTI owners fit the S3 FMIC so it should be handy enough to fit.

    The S3 intercooler is designed for a stock S3. Running the boost required for 360bhp on a K04 will generate a lot of heat.
    Go with a THS, APR, SPM, Eurojet etc intercooler.

    APR Software SHOULD be fine, but they do modify the K04 they use in their kit. Not sure if this will make a difference or not.

    As was said before, the S3 intercooler is a bit bigger than the stock 2.0 tfsi. Also it is entirely made of aluminium. It is a straight swap. Take off the old one and install the S3 one. It is good for up to 350-360 bhp, higher than this, THS would be a better choice.
