hazard warning switch stays on in my a3 fsi

REALLY, I've spent all morning researching how to get and fit a replacement. Are you sure it stays permanently on ? Will it not drain the battery? Cheers gb

The actual button that is used to turn the hazards on? Thought you meant a light on the dash for some reason.

For info, basically VCDS is diagnostic software/cable specific to VAG cars. It can also be used to code various bits on VAG cars, such as if cruise control was retrofitted, that could be coded in to work.

Also to add when you lock the vehicle it times out after 30 seconds to a minute. When sat inside car with ignition off it will time out after 30 minutes provided a door is not opened, glove box opened, radio operated etc. Something to keep in mind.. Last year mine was not timing out when I locked the vehicle so I replaced the switch and job done.
