Dv question

Hi, had my test drive in my s3 month ago now, and when i changed gear the dv would wo wo wo wo like 3000 rpm was the loudest when you changed gear of let of the throttle which i thought was normal, Haven had the car few weeks now the wo wo wo has gone, so now im thinking was it ment to wo wo wo or not wo wo wo that is the question sorry ive got a trip plannned for a dyno run and health check and few bits done at indigo gt end of month. Any light on this topic would be great thanks
