Do it, do it, do it!! That's a little tongue in cheek, but I had AmD do the remap (@11000 km). On its own, that was netted me a more responsive, faster revving engine. Not a huge increase, but a definite change in character.
I later added a milltek cat-back (20000km), and that gave a very nice sound (not too loud, and quite "classy").
Then I added BMC's Carbon Dynamic Airbox (22000 km), which in some instances (low-rev WOT) is louder than the exhaust.
Both the intake and exhaust helped freeing up the engine. And the sound is outstanding.
I'm now at 35000km, and I am glad I did those things early on as I enjoy them every single day ;-)
