My 2006 a3 is currently getting the ABS unit replaced under warranty as it suffered from the well known ESP light being permanently on.
The garage originally purchased a reconditioned unit, but says that it wasn't happy with it as it only worked intermittently. Therefore they are reluctantly purchasing a brand new unit from Audi which they say is costing a fortune.
My question is this, will the new unit be modified from Audi to ensure i never get this fault again? I don't want to be running the car 2 years down the line when its out of extended warranty for the sensor to fail again.
