I have a A3 2.0 tdi 140bhp 2wd, and looking at coilovers, just wanted to know the strut diameter! Is it 55mm or 50mm? Thanks

I've got a 2012 2.0 tdi and mine is 55mm! I don't know what year they changed the diameter on them! I'm sure there's someone on here with a 2004 that could tell you!

I also would like to know this as I was looking at springs/shocks! I have a 2004 A3 2.0 FSI sport, is this 50 or 55mm? Thanks!

Most early TDIs and non turbo models will be 50mm. Definitely pays to check/measure before ordering anything.

Mine is a 2.0 TDI from August 2005 and I have 55mm but you definitely shoud check.

2.0TDI tend to be a 55mm but as mentioned always best to double check, the 2.0FSI could be either.

Ive got a 2003 2.0 FSI and my strut was 55mm, i am assuming yours would be the same. you can always phone your local dealer, the parts guy should be able to tell you with your reg.

I've got a 56 plate 2.0 FSI Sport and mine was 55mm, if that helps.

Probably best to check yourself though just in case.
