how do u change gear knob ?

Lift the gear stick surround at the top (eg open ash tray if you have one) - it is just clipped into place.
Turn gear gaitor inside out over the top of the knob.
You will see a clip where the knob attaches to the gear stick. You slacken this with a set of nose pliers or the likes then wiggle off.
Repeat in reverse.
