P2540 - Low Pressure Fuel System Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Hi Guys,

Got round to buying a reader to check what is causing the emission control light to come on and it's coming up as P2540 - Low Pressure Fuel System Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Read online that this is usually due to the fuel pump - the previous owner fitted Autotech internals but not sure if the stock fuel pump can cope with the load of Stage 2+

Anyone experienced this before? Advice would be great

Is it worth replacing the relay first and see if thats the issue and then going for a new pump?
