Hi guys, got a black ed in black 61 plate on i think rotor black alloys my question is can these be spayed silver without ballsing them up.
They are in perfect condition hence the concern,or should i buy some new one's ive seen some audi ones at 1,100 a bit drastic but the car would look better with brighter alloys imo.
Normally i would not bother but at my age .......sod it.

Spraying them silver is not a problem (I am a spray painter by trade.). Get a quote from a few local bodyshops and also speak to people that have used them and ask their opinions.

A good bodyshop should let you browse their colour swatches so you can pick the perfect colour to compliment your car.

A lot cheaper than the new wheels.

most are painted standard anyway i think mate so a good paint job should be as good oem

As mentioned most of todays 'alloys' are painted. As long as you dont kirb them they will be fine. As long as the bodyshop keys the surface well for the basecoat to go on then there should be know problem.

Speak to N8, he's the main man when it comes to refurbs

Go for the re- paint - as said as long as the wheels are prepared properly and they are baked in an oven they will be fine

Well guys youv'e certainly given me food for thought, finding someone who know what he's doing is another matter.
Thanks again.

DON'T use a wheel refurb specialist - pay the extra and use a proper paint shop - I have just had one of my mercs wheels refurbed at a paint shop - £65.00 cash
