    DSG Clunking from 3rd downshifting to 2nd

    I've noticed when im slowing down that my dsg seems to clunk when goin from 3rd down to 2nd.
    Does anyone know what this could possibly be?



    2006 tdi a3 sportback dsg.

    How many miles has the car done and when did it last have its dsg oil and filter changed?

    current mileage is 130k and think 74k it was done :$

    Change the oil, it's over due. Should be done every 40K or that's what my service book used to say if i remember correctly.

    Yes as said dsg service is well overdue. Get it done asap and that might sort things out

    Mine does this every now and then. But it could well just be a characteristic of the box?
    It's only when the box is in too high a gear than it should be so it's a low rpm change into a lower gear. A manual would do the same if you changed at 1000rpm.

    dsg was serviced, and the clunking is still there intermitantly

    Mine does it too mate, my car has only 40k on 2.0 T, I think it might be normal
