So finally bought some wheels, and yes yes i know they arent OEM or Genuine. But genuine ones are 2k in need of a refurb without tyres...and not in 5x112 afaik.

Did fit some S3 brakes too, but had to take them off when i realised the new wheels dont clear them, so going to need some spacers.
Im no photographer, and only on my phone...

look good
not a fan of strecth myself

I wouldnt say im a fan, but like the look of the wider rears, with more dish. There 9.5j, with 225 tyres, fronts are 8.5j with 225.
Spoke to N8, who said go 225 to avoid rubbing. Was worried he might say 215!

Spacers, im going to have to try and borrow one to test, friend of a friend may have one for me. So means getting it in one lunch, swapping a caliper over to the S3 ones, and seeing if it clears.
Didnt have any time sat to try and space with washers etc to measure.

Wheel didnt quite sit flush on hub on the S3 brakes...

Im guessing 5mm should be enough, N8 also said try 3-5mm.

Rears already poke slightly, so will probably leave them...

Fronts are about flush...

Plans...ive got an Sline rear bumper im prepping to go on, fitted the MY11 lights on sat, looking for a spoiler. And skirts id love, but they are a lot!
S3 brakes, un sure of colour, maybe some rears too.
Toying with a remap, though i really dont drive it like i think i would appreciate the extra grunt.
Window tints, fed up of the ****** sun shades in the rear for the little un!

looks lovely. a taaaad lower and its spot on :)

Suit your car a lot mate and love the size of the tail pipes

Thanks

I'm pretty happy with ride height, those pics were before I drove it. Think it's settled slightly more, though not much.
Can't get a finger in front or rear arch straight, hits main tread of tyre.
Thats low for me, usually run cars with close to 2 fingers arch gap.

Yes, thats a precise measurement :p

Thanks again mate.

I like to do everything i can myself. Just after getting it, i flatted the whole car and machine poolished it, so does look pretty good.

On a slightly bad note, did get some rubbing from the rear today on the way home. Where is the infamous arch screw ? Most obvious one was rear end of liner, but is also a bumper screw, cant see everyone removing that one ? Though i could have missed another one, only had a quick look.

Well tried a 5mm spacer today. And not gonna be enough.
Was very slight contact, with very slightly worn pads.
So with new pads would certainly be less clearance.

Ordered a couple of bolts off eBay, so I can fit both 5mms, to see how it sits in arch, poke etc. Could probably get away with a 7 or 8mm, but they already sit flush.
And I'm told you can't get 205/35/19 tyres, which would then match the rear stretch, meaning I could afford more poke on the rim.Don't think swapping to 215 is worth it on an 8.5j.

are you photos in the first post without spacers then?
also where did you buy the wheels from? if you dont mind me asking

All the pics are without spacers. Still waiting on bolts to test 10mm, i know they will clear, but unsure how silly the wheels will look.

Ill pm you the link, just incase its breaking any rules. Though no issue sharing, one guy has already bought some wheels from them since i posted thread :)

Yeah they looks smart, thanks for the link good price too. Think I may need to go lower first so 19's don't look silly

Looks lush, same sort of look I'm going for just not 19's and no where near as wide haha. Think the back needs the extra 10mm the h&r's give though.

Also where'd you get your centre caps buddy? I guess they are 68mm like most reps?

Nice wheels but too big IMO. 18's and lowered would look better

Eat offset are these mate?

ive looked at the dare BBS LM or RS reps (forgot which) for my S3 but seeing you saying about brake clearance trouble I'm not so sure!

Tyres don't fit :(

Looks too high at the rear compared with the front.

The caps came with wheels.

Et is 45 all round.

Height wise, thats how Sportlines sit. Was the same with standard wheels (back to front etc, obviously by going up in rim size it has altered figures, but will be equal front and back) so if back is too high compared to the front, it was before these wheels.
The term for this is rake, and i always run my fwd cars with rake.

Tyres are needed to fit 9.5j. They are stretched a bit, not too extreme though. Even with these, rears still rub on big dips.

18s imo, look too small.

Brakes clear fine now with a 5mm spacer.
