iv found a steering rack!!

i reported iv had trouble with my 2006 2.0T rack, so iv found a 2011 s3 with 11k on it, and can have the rack off that.

question is: what wiring loom do i need? where can i buy it from? how much should i pay for the rack? and can any audi spesh reprogramme the rack to my ECU once done?

I think the plug maybe different or i am sure there is something different about them

You need to know your rack part no. & the rack of the S3, to see which generation they are, S3 will be gen 3 for sure & also you require an additional loom when going between gens, so get part no's 1st.

mines a 2nd gen surely if its a 2006? wasn't 3rd gen 2008 onwards? wheres the part number?

Its marked on the rack metal flat plate area, as I said you need the part number to confirm.
