Intercooler replaced but forge couplers dont fit onto intercooler

I jus had my intercooler fited as the old one was ruined and now the forge hoses and couplers dont fit into the inlet and outlet of the intercooler how is this possible as the intercooler is exactly the same as the old one with part numbers matching from audi all im thinking is why me ??

In what way dont they fit, holes to small, couplers to small, etc.

Couplers were too small but luckily i had a load of couplers as forge sent me a load of them due to not sending the right ones about 4 times they were wrong sizes but they said keep the couplers as i was messed around by them, luckily i found them but i was scared that the forge hoses wouldn't fit and i would have to get rid of a decent mod :-(
