Audi Concert stereo with Ipod connector fault

Hi, driving car home yesterday (2007 S3) and ipod went off (Ipod Nano 8gb gen 1- red edition)

Having a play with it this morning and I have tried the following:

Restarted ipod
Restarted stereo
Took ipod out of the glove box connector and blew on it....

The ipod loads up the "Welcome to Audi" or something and the stereo says "Loading" and then it cycles through the tunes TRYING to play them

Anybody got any advice?! I have access to VCDS on the weekend and have access to other ipods to check the stereo

I havint tried that yet, but I see no reason for it to not.....is there anyway to reset the stereo without removing battery?

Ill run VCDS on weekend as going to change my DRL's to Scandinavian mode
