Heeellllp!!! A3 audio steering wheel!!!

I want to know if it's possible to put an audio steering wheel from a 10 plate a3 on my 08 plate a3 1.8 diesel convertible!!! Can any one shed any light on this for me, the local Audi garage were useless.

My car is a manual I have fitted the steering wheel but it needs the right wire connector/modem it came off an a3 8p 10 plate, and I have a 1.9 tdi 08 convertible, any help would be gratefully received, I just want to use it!!!!!

Ok so as long as you have the right airbag loom that connects the airbag to the mf buttons and the slip ring and it is coded correctly then the buttons will work.
I would say the problem you have here is coding related. Where abouts are you.
