Hi all,

Fitted a MFSW to my A3 yesterday including a new highline ecu. Everything fitted ok and buttons work on the wheel after coding but I've got a few problems when I've tried to drive it. I'm getting an ESP fault and no power steering.

Ive done all what is stated on the Rosstech website for steering assist such as turning steering wheel full to left and then right and going for a quick drive but the problems are still there. I've tried to clear fault codes in 44 Steering Assist and I keep getting fault 02546 - Steering Limit Stop No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation.

Any help with this would be massively appreciated as its doing my head in!

Thanks

Do the adaptions again following Ross Tech's guide, it will go. Had to do mine twice to get it to accept

Also sometimes it may need a little longer on each lock - try holding the wheel over for 30 seconds each way

Top man!! Just did it for around 30 secs instead of 5 and I've sorted that.

Next problem is the airbag light is now on which wasn't on before I fitted the MFSW. I've scanned it and below is that fault codes.

Actually, scrap that. Just cleared codes for airbag and gone for a drive and light has gone.

Glad you got it sorted, can't wait to code mine in tomorrow!
A week whith no power steering or ESP has been 'different' shall we say. Haha

How'd you drive for a week without it?!? I was struggling just turning out of my drive without any power steering haha.

I've got another problem (Hopefully the last one).

The plastic cowling at the top of the wheel is not clicking back into place at the back. This is causing the plastic to be pushed forward and rub when the steering wheel is turned and the gap seen below. The front of the plastic has clicked in and is fine though. I've tried pushing it back down an all sorts but no joy. Anybody help?
