R my wipers ment to stop working when I stop

In the rain yesterday when I stopped at a junction my wipers stopped until I moved is this right??

Guessing you have rain sensor, so yes.

I don't have rain sensor & the wipers do stop as the car stops

You'll also notice that if the wipers are left on and the ignition is turned off when you restart the wipers will not start working until you move off

If its the same as mine, the wipers don't stop completely when the car stops. They get set to a very slow setting (one swipe every 5-10 seconds) due to not as much rain building up on the windscreen when stationary.
