Hi , ive been offered a swap for an a3 thats done 100k , its the 2.0 TDI model , 3 door , 7 months mot , 3 months tax, says its immacualate and it looks it from the pictures but has very little history and is unsure if its had a pump or belt.

For my astra 1.9 CDTI SRI 150 2006 , 5 door with 108k , full history belt and pump done 10k miles ago , 4 new tyres in oct + 750gbp

Obiously i would do the belt and pump when i got it , but what about the clutch and gearbox think ill be ok ?

Also what should i look out for on this model ?

Thanks in advance!

Don't even think about it unless there is full Audi/specialist service history stamped in the book !

Clutch and gearbox should not be a problem!

Full diagnostic scan will identify any inherent faults. Cambelt change should have been done at 75k.

Cylinder head problems were rife at that age.
