Hi.
I have been trying to find an answer to this for a while and its like a minefield.

Does anyone have recommended pressures for 225/35/19 on a 2008 A3 2.0 TDI 3dr?

I can only find pressures for 18"s and the 19" pressures vary from 30psi to 40psi!

Would 35psi be about right for the weight of the car?

The recommended ones should be on the inside of your fuel filler flap

They will only be for 18s though as the TDI does not come with 19s as standard.

I would have thought that it would be pretty similar to the 18s as the width is the same. Although saying that i am shocked that the recommended presure for mine are 38 front and 35 back unloaded!

Run what feels right. I'd start with the 18" pressures and then experiment.

They are recommend, not the rules. Many people add a few psi for fuel efficiency, some drop a few for comfort or handling.
