I've been quoted for a Major service on my 2004 2.0 TDI 90k miles

Its including:
Water pump
All the filters
All the fluids
All the belts

£550

Would you guys say that's a fair price?

Tensioners, fuel filter, pollen, I would get an exact breakdown to be safe.

He did tell me but i`ve forgotten
but fuel, pollen and tensioners were mentioned he's a family friend so I trust him i was just wondering if the price was reasonable?

Probably lookin at £350 in parts if you did it yourself.
Depends how much your time (and the stamp in the book) is worth to you.

Family friend or not, check whats included.

I got quoted £545 for just cambelt and water pump :/

I think I better get haggling

How much??

We will be extremely competitive on servicing once we open the workshop in a few weeks (eventually)

The price in the OP is good if it includes everything.

Shame I'm in Birmingham then :(

This is what my local dealer quoted. I'm sure they make it up off the top of their heads. The first quote page he gave me said £829.67, I asked him if it included an engine refurb, he laughed then said ill see what i can do...like he did me a favour with the £545 quote
