Hi i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on an issue i have with my A3 2.0 TDI on a 56 plate, i occasionaly get the glo plug/engine management light warning light flashing on the dash board.The thing is if i stop the car and turn the engine off this kind of resets it's self and it might be ok for say a couple of weeks, then out of the blue it comes on again, i did get it checked by an independant machanic who got the fault code which stated it was possible a fault on the solidoid air inlet manifold, so after replacing this solidoid, approx 3 weeks ago the light has come on twice since, any help would be granted.

A new intake motor and flap is likely the worst it can be, and they can be had for under £100. Quite common for them to fail, we've done a few.
