Right ive got an A3 on a 2009 which has the bose system installed but it doesnt have the same quality as my previous A3 on a 2005 which had the bose so i kinda know what im expecting to hear which to me is one of the best factory installed car stereos ive heard obviously a debatable fact now ive read the numerous bose threads but still.it seems to be a problem with the drivers side speaker/speakers because if i chance the balance to all left theres plenty on base up front and if i change it all right it missing some vital base and cant feel the same thump comming form the drivers door speaker but need some one to tell me /have a look and work out if its just the door speaker and or what i need to get it sounding right ie a good audio specialist in the leicestershire/northamptonshire area thanks guys

The sub is actually in boot left handside, but ideally need to remove door cards & swap speakers across to see if the problem moves.

I'm sometimes up that area so could remove it all, swap across & test, take a few hours to strip down & swap across, test & put back, but ideally be good to have a spare speaker at same time to install should yours be faulty, but if it does fix the problem, would the oem system be good enough for you, is the question.

sorry monopole get bit carried away sometimes!thanks nhn, thats sounds like what i would need to do and after a few more hours of messin around i am pretty sure its the drivers side door speaker so where would be the best place to get a bose replacement from and any idea what the part number would be??really dont think id be happy with the oem system.
