Hi everyone!
Trying to help a mate out who has recently face lifted his S3.
His car was originally a 2008 S3 pre facelift which had factory fitted adaptive Xenon headlights.
He has now installed the later front end alongside the later headlights.
These headlights are also adaptive.
I have manage to code in the headlights to work and light as they should but cannot seem to code in the adaptive modules.
I am currently getting the following fault codes:

The only issue remains is the fault on the dash for the adaptive lights alongside the errors in Control Module 55. The central electronics have coded up fine.
I have tried to code the module, however does not accept the coding which makes me believe that the headlight control module does not support the new headlights. I think this maybe due to the XENON module (55) not accepting the code due to the module not being compatible with the later adaptive lights.
I have logged in using VCDS with the Security Access Codes 02000 before trying to Change the coding but it has failed to do so... Bringing up:
"Coding rejected"
"Error 78: unknown"
The current coding is 0000255 code and i have tried to change it to A3 8p 0000020 following Ross techs instructions:
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A8_(4E)_Headlight_Aim_Control_(Adaptive_Light)
I have tried to change it to all other possible values but it does not have any...
I cannot perform basic settings either after logging in with the security codes no matter what I try.
I believe the vehicle may have an earlier AS1 module and I require and AS2???
I have a later module part number 8P0 907 357J, however this has a different plug so i cannot directly replace or test this unit.
As the vehicle originally had factory Xenons it is equipped with all the levelling sensors washers etc... So all the wiring I'm guessing should be there.
I've been reading through other posts and cannot really see anyone who has done a similar upgrade, unless I missed it.
Can anyone shed some light on this.
Many thanks
